Since the histories (on our station pages) of volunteering at the stations were written, Transport for Wales operating in conjunction with Keolis / Amey have taken over services at Helsby, Frodsham and Runcorn East from Arriva Trains Wales. NCRUG is no longer participating directly in the Station Adoption scheme although 2 members still maintain the gardens and keep the platforms tidy at Runcorn East through the TfW Community Rail adoption scheme.
If you would like to help out at any of the TfW managed stations, either as an individual or part of a group, please do contact community@tfw.wales
In exchange for regular station reports, TfW support their station adopters with training, hi-vis clothing, tools and complimentary rail vouchers for use on the TfW network.
