16th July 2016

In conjunction with NCRUG efforts to re-open Halton Curve Northern have kindly arranged for the extension of the  07.53 Chester to Runcorn (Main Line) to Liverpool South Parkway on Saturday 16th July.

In addition it will make station calls as detailed below.

Chester                              0753
Helsby                                0802
Frodsham                           0806
Runcorn                              0817
Liverpool South Parkway    0825

Hopefully we will see an hourly service in each direction provided over the line by the end of 2018.

Have a look at the  for Halton Curve Video and you can see the line as it was last year before extensive delayed routine maintenance opened up the line for photography.

An interesting ticket for this journey is a Off Peak Return to Warrington (Central) at £9.20, which is valid via Liverpool South Parkway to Warrington.

T this can be used on your return journey directly to Chester via Helsby or via Crewe to Chester

There are further discounts with a "Railcard".
