Runcorn East Celebrations

Members of the North Cheshire Rail Users Group joined Arriva Trains Wales managers at Runcorn East railway station on Wednesday 3 October to mark the stations 35th Anniversary and the end of the ATW franchise - 15 years working in partnership with NCRUG.
For anybody wondering why we celebrated Runcorn East’s birthday two weeks ahead of the date on the commemorative plaque in the ticket office building which has the date of the 18th October, this report from The Railway Magazine explains all.
