Sand Trains

22nd June 2016

The sand trains to the ENCIRC sidings are now running regularly on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays(MWFO).

They originate at Middleton Towers and run to Warrington Arpley with a move from there at 07.12 to Helsby West Cheshire Junct. arr at 07.39.

The train returns from Helsby West Cheshire Junction at 13.54 running to Warrington Arpley at 14.36. It can also run one hour later.

The two photographs attached show 66070 on the return working at  Frodsham Station on the 22nd June and the type of wagons in use on the train.

It is pleasing to see this regular flow of traffic commencing and running across the lines in which NCRUG is interested in.
