Secret Train Services to Manchester Airport

16th May 2016

A Secret "Arriva Trains Wales" services started running  to Manchester Airport from the North Cheshire Line on Monday 16th May; these all call at our stations and are the normal trains which now travel beyond Manchester Piccadilly.

The six additional through train services to Manchester Airport commenced on the 16th May, they do not appear in the ATW printed timetable booklets and the six additional services are extended to the Airport to arrive at 10.20, 11.20, 12.20, 13.20, 14.15 & 15.20. The additional return services depart from the Airport at 10.36, 11.36, 12.36, 13.36, 14.36 & 15.36.

On Saturdays there are additional extended services to the Airport arriving at 16.20, 17.20, & 18.20 with departures at 16.36, 17.36 & 18.36. All these trains also call at East Didsbury, which is a useful destination for the nearby entertainment centre.

There are no through services on a Sunday although ATW will also operate trains between the Airport and Piccadilly on a Sunday; and these trains also call at East Didsbury. Currently our trains are replaced by buses on a Sunday.
