There was again serious disruption to services between Chester and Warrington today, Tuesday 20th October, following a similar incident on 10th August 2015.
This time due to an articulated tanker rolling over on the M56 Motorway, near Hapsford, which led to a another exclusion zone being set up - which impinged on the railway between Chester and Warrington (Bank Quay).
In addition a herd of cows delayed trains adding to the problems for ATW.
The last train allowed through was 1D30 the 15.50 Manchester (Picc) to Llandudno (Helsby 16.43) and the next train through was 1H95 the 18.44 Llandudno to Manchester (Helsby 20.00).
The 1D95 the 20.32 Manchester (Airport) to Chester (Helsby 21.41) was also cancelled.
Freight services were diverted via Crewe,
