Strike Day

13th March 2017

With Northern on strike on Monday 13th March 2017, ATW services were additionallycalling at Patricroft.

Why they called at Patricroft and not Eccles is a mystery?

Eccles would have provided a useful link to the Metrolink there, whereas Patricroft is isolated from public transport connections

A lost opportunity for passengers to make use of the potential transport hub!

Interestingly the loco hauled services did not call but all other services provided by ATW did.

Probably due to platform length.

Train crews reported that few passengers used Patricroft - nothing new there as it is located in an industrial dessert away from much housing.

Lets hope ATW call at Eccles if there is further industrial action?
